Jakarta, April 30, 2024 – Competency and quality of human resources are pivotal for business growth, including in the retail industry. In efforts to enhance these competencies and qualities, today, Tuesday (30/04), PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk. inaugurated Erajaya Corporate University (E-University) located at Plaza Harco Mangga Dua, Central Jakarta. The inauguration was attended by Erajaya Group management along with invited guests from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti RI), the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenaker RI), the Association of Retailers and Mall Tenants of Indonesia (HIPPINDO), and other business partners.
Hasan Aula, Deputy CEO of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk., stated, "Through E-University, we aim to foster competency and quality of employees, which will indirectly impact the strategic and operational implementation of Erajaya's business. E-University is also expected to serve as an engine for learning and comprehensive competency development processes so that employees can compete in increasingly competitive business challenges."
The learning curricula provided by E-University will be tailored to the needs of human resource development in the retail industry, with flexible learning methods and measurable learning impacts, thus fostering a culture of sustainable learning. Strategies implemented by E-University to achieve quality and sustainable learning processes include:
- Conducting competency-based development in both soft and technical skills by dividing them into 4 (four) academies: Business Academy, Business Support Academy, Digital Skills Academy, and Leadership & Management Academy.
- Providing a comprehensive learning ecosystem through collaborations with universities, business schools, professionals, leaders as experts, curriculum evaluators, and assessors.
- Developing multi-channel learning to create a dynamic learning environment and provide flexible learning methods that can be chosen according to participants' learning styles, such as offline, online, gamification, role play, and others.
The presence of E-University is one of the strategies to support the business growth of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk. The concept of human resource development and training is adopted to broaden the knowledge, enhance skills, and competency of every employee in the retail industry.
E-University will be equipped with activities and facilities to support the learning process of Erajaya Group employees, such as classroom training rooms, focus group discussions, gamification, replica of Erajaya retail stores, auditorium, video production for learning, library, and virtual reality devices.
