Jakarta, May 4, 2020 - In the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak, not a few people felt difficulties especially in terms of the economy. Therefore, PT Erajaya Swasembada organized a food distribution program and a mask with CSR vs. COVID-19 headers aimed at underprivileged families whose economy was affected by the Covid-19 outbreak in the area around the company. The program is carried out Erajaya Group and has begun on Friday-Saturday, 17-18 April 2020.
The Erajaya Group program, the Care Lantern was carried out as a form of company contribution, in easing the burden on the community such as orphans, Dhuafa, Widower, and the elderly whose daily income was affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia.
This program is carried out in the area around the Erajaya Plaza Bandengan office, Erajaya Gedong Panjang and Gudang Kapuk. because the region is the closest region to the Erajaya Group location and has a number of underprivileged families whose economies are affected by the high Covid-19 outbreak. The impact of Covid-19 on the economy of the underprivileged family was enormous, especially in the Jakarta area which imposed Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to coincide when we distributed groceries.
The assistance provided was 1,000 food packages and 2,000 masks. Distributed to the local government, 750 Pekojan village heads (750 Gedong Panjang RW, Pekojan, 05 Pekojan RW, and other RW) and 250 packages for RW 03 Kapuk Muara Village. This package is distributed to the poor and vulnerable groups in each location.
Erajaya Group has a disaster relief program in the Erajaya Cares CSR Program as a form of company contribution in increasing social solidarity that inspires the spirit of mutual cooperation by sharing with the middle and lower classes of society who are struggling with the COVID-19 virus and improving the lives of the nation, especially in alleviating difficulties/suffering post-disaster.
