Jakarta, June 17th, 2019 – PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk., an integrated mobile telecommunication device importer, distributor and retailer in Indonesia, through its CSR activities in the field of education cooperate with the Ministry of Education and Culture as the supervisor of Vocational graduates. The purpose of this cooperation is to improve the competence of Vocational High School in business and management, such as (1) The coordination of curriculum and teaching materials (2) Productive Teacher Training (3) Competency certification for teachers and students (4) Corporate Social Program Responsibility (5) Facilitation of Industrial work Practices for students in Vocational High School field of business and management and (6) Facilitate the recruitment of Vocational graduates in business and management. Through this cooperation, the target of Vocational will be expanded to each area located at the distribution point or retail outlets of Erajaya Group spread throughout Indonesia.
"Through this cooperation, Erajaya Group and Ministry of Education and Culture have a commitment to support the learning process in Vocational High School with more intensive industry involvement, since 2018 we have already absorbed 250 workers from Jabodetabek Vocational High School who have been trained comprehensively. Our next target is to expand the coverage area of this program so that it can absorb all workers in various areas that are ready to work in the industry," said Jimmy Peranginangin, Group Head of HR Erajaya Group.
As a form of commitment to support this cooperation, Erajaya launches Erajaya Micro Learning (EMil) application which is a self-development application developed with Ministry of Education and Culture in preparing competence and teacher skills and Vocational students in the digital era, especially the retail industry.
"This application is designed to support a comprehensive learning tool through a one stop solution service to prepare and provide competent Vocational graduates and ready to work in retail. Not only that, the application also indicates that Erajaya Group is ready to provide work in support of government programs," said Jimmy Peranginangin.
Besides launching the application Emil, on this day Erajaya Group and Ministry of Education and Culture announced the winner of E-Competition, learning competition and quiz digitally through the application of EMil followed by 380 students from a total of 20 Vocational High School with competition period From May to June 2019. Each Vocational High School is represented only by one person finalist who participated in the competition to get the best value. From 20 finalists, three winners will be selected with the best value and will be rewarded with gadgets and other entertainment prizes.
This application of EMil can be accessed by more than 6.000 Vocational High School and 1.2 million students with business and management majors registered in the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. Applications that can be opened through the website or downloaded through the Android-based device have some excellent features, such as:
- Academy Class: Where Vocational students learn journey independently of e-modules or materials, videos, and exercises related to the competence of the retail industry in accordance with their class.
- "Teacher" Bootcamp: A learning space for teachers about the knowledge and skills of gadget technology and the retail world.
- Certification Class: Special material that is prepared by Erajaya for the student and students of Vocational who sit in class XI and XII that will be selected for the opportunity to intern and work at Erajaya.
