Jakarta, March 27, 2026 — DJI, a global leader in the civilian drone industry and creative camera technology, officially introduces the DJI Avata 360. Designed to unlock limitless creativity in a single shot¹, this latest flagship drone features 8K 360° recording with 1-inch-equivalent sensors¹ capable of producing 8K/60fps HDR video. Supported by the O4+ video transmission system and omnidirectional obstacle sensing¹, users can enjoy a more stable, safe, and immersive flight experience. When paired with DJI goggles and a motion controller, the Avata 360 delivers an exciting FPV sensation along with an immersive 360° flight experience. Additionally, users can use a DJI remote controller to capture a full 360° view in one flight, which can later be reframed from various perspectives—turning one shot into many creative content possibilities.
“DJI Avata 360 introduces a new breakthrough in aerial content creation by combining high-resolution 360° camera technology with an increasingly immersive FPV flying experience. This innovation opens opportunities for creators, filmmakers, and drone enthusiasts in Indonesia to explore visual perspectives that were previously difficult to achieve in a single flight,” said Djohan Sutanto, CEO of Erajaya Active Lifestyle.
“We see growing interest in drone technology and aerial imaging in Indonesia, in line with the increasing demand for creative and high-quality visual content. With the presence of DJI Avata 360, Erajaya Active Lifestyle is committed to bringing the latest technology from DJI so creators can continue to push the boundaries of their creativity with a safer, more stable, and immersive flying experience,” he added.
Maximum Image Quality, Limitless Creativity
Avata 360 comes with two lens options that can be used flexibly. The 360° lens mode uses 1-inch-equivalent sensors¹ to produce highly detailed images, supporting 8K/60fps HDR video recording¹ and photos up to 120MP.
With a 2.4 μm pixel size and high dynamic range, highlight and shadow details are preserved exceptionally well. Both video and photo results can be used directly or further refined during post-production.
Meanwhile, Single Lens Mode enables shooting in the classic Avata style at 4K/60fps¹ resolution.
Reliable Video Transmission, Immersive Flight
Using the O4+ video transmission system, Avata 360 delivers a stable and clear live feed for a smoother flying experience. This technology also features strong anti-interference capability, supporting transmission up to 1080p/60fps with a maximum range of up to 20 km¹.
Fly with Confidence, Create with Ease
Avata 360 offers up to 23 minutes of flight time¹ and includes several standard safety features, including omnidirectional obstacle detection with nightscape support¹ and integrated propeller guards. If damaged, the camera lens can be easily replaced using the DJI Avata 360 replacement lens kit and tools (sold separately). The device also delivers an exceptional aerial content creation experience, where a single 360° capture can be transformed into various stunning creations during post-production using the DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps, including:
- Spotlight Free¹ — Locks onto a moving subject and assists camera movement, replicating advanced cinematic camera language like a professional Inspire 3. It can also lock onto a subject’s face to easily capture Circle or Dronie shots automatically.
- ActiveTrack 360°¹ — Automatically selects the optimal tracking mode. For example, Standard Mode maintains stable distance and altitude relative to the subject, while Cycling Mode reacts more quickly to turns and keeps the subject in frame even in complex environments.
- FPV Mode — Allows even beginner pilots to add natural roll effects to Spotlight Free, ActiveTrack 360°, and manual flight for dynamic, high-speed FPV-style footage. This mode can be applied in post-production.
- Intelligent Tracking — Powered by advanced algorithms, DJI Fly and DJI Studio apps make it easy to lock and track people, vehicles, pets, and more smoothly, even in 360° footage.
- One Tap Editing — With GyroFrame, 360° footage can be adjusted to the ideal angle and exported in the DJI Fly app. Both DJI Fly and DJI Studio also allow the addition of camera motion effects.
- Virtual Gimbal¹ — Uses the 360° view to enable unlimited rotation and tilt for dynamic camera movement. Even when flying in one direction, the horizon can be rotated and perspectives shifted to look backward or perform flips.
- Replaceable Front Lens Element — The front element features a replaceable design. By purchasing the replacement lens kit and tools¹, users can easily replace the lens themselves without sending it for repair.
- 42 GB Internal Storage and High-Speed Transfer — With 42 GB of internal storage, users can record up to 30 minutes of 8K 360° video without a microSD card. Using Wi-Fi 6 high-speed transfer, 1 GB of footage can be transferred to the DJI Fly app in 10 seconds at speeds up to 100 MB/s¹.
FPV and Aerial Shooting in One Drone
Avata 360 combines the creative freedom of a 360° camera with an unprecedented FPV flying experience. It can be flown using DJI remote controllers (RC 2, RC-N2, RC-N3) for precise camera movements, allowing creators to explore new ways of capturing stunning aerial shots.
As a complement, DJI goggles and motion controllers provide a more immersive flight experience with 360° imaging at 1080p/60fps. Like the Avata 2, aerial acrobatics such as drifting can be performed—even by beginners—using the DJI RC Motion 3.
