Jakarta, 18 August 2022 - Erajaya Group is strengthening its commitment to the development and empowerment of vocational education in Indonesia through the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education, Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The cooperation agreement was signed by Mr Hasan Aula as Deputy President Director of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk and Mrs Kiki Yuliati as Director General of Vocational Education at the Kemendikbudristek Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
This strategic collaboration is a continuation of competency development programs and vocational alignment in the world of industrial work, such as the development of special online learning applications containing materials/modules tailored for vocational needs, guest teachers, street vendors, and recruitment for vocational graduates. In this regard, Jimmy Warin Angin, Chief Human Capital, Legal & CSR, said, "With this collaboration, Erajaya Group will continue to be committed to developing other fields outside the business and management fields that we have collaborated with so far. These fields are the field of catering, fashion, and pharmacy which are currently in accordance with Erajaya's future business developments".
This collaboration will also accommodate efforts to improve the competence of human resources in the Vocational Education Unit, including:
- Alignment of industry-based curriculum,
- Provision of data related to vocational education graduates,
- Increased competence for educators, education staff, and students,
- Provision of guest educators from the business world, competency certification, fieldwork practices, recruitment of vocational education graduates, and
- Utilization of corporate social responsibility programs.
The Director General of Vocational Education, Kiki Yuliati, explained that the collaboration that was built was aimed at achieving alignment of the learning process that is relevant to the needs of the world of work, which in the end can support the distribution of vocational education graduates properly and in harmony with the world of work. "Especially at this time, vocational education has a strategic position in producing skilled workers in accordance with industry standards," concluded Kiki.
