Jakarta, August 8, 2025 — To celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day, Curry Up is introducing two special archipelago-inspired menus available exclusively throughout August 2025. Adding a local twist to its signature Build Your Own Curry concept, these two dishes invite customers to explore the rich tastes of Indonesia in a more personal and flexible way—by selecting their preferred curry base, rice, and protein to match their individual tastes.
The first creation for this special occasion is Grilled Tuna Jaw, featuring cuts of tuna jaw grilled to juicy, smoky perfection, served with sambal bakar, sambal mercon, and crispy fried cabbage. This dish highlights the bold, enticing flavors of Indonesian seafood. Customers can pair it with their favorite curry sauce and rice variety to create a personalized flavor combination.
The second special is Padang-Style Gulai Curry, Curry Up’s modern interpretation of one of West Sumatra’s culinary icons. Made with a blend of signature spices and rich coconut milk, this gulai curry joins the Build Your Own Curry lineup, offering a new space for culinary exploration through different protein and rice pairings.
For a richer, ready-to-enjoy option, Curry Up also offers the Padang-Style Gulai Curry Rice Bowl*, specially crafted with a choice of two proteins:

Beef Rendang, slow-cooked tender beef infused with spices until fully absorbed, and

Zesty Cheese Chicken, yogurt- and cheese-marinated chicken grilled in a tandoor for a creamy flavor.
This rice bowl comes with cassava chips, opak (Indonesian rice crackers), and boiled cassava leaves—bringing together textures and flavors that are both familiar and special.
