A New Chapter Begins: CHAGEE Celebrates Its Grand Opening in Bali

BALI, INDONESIA, 27 March 2026 — Bali has always been a place where people come together — over a sunrise, a shared meal, or a quiet moment between adventures. Now, it has a new gathering place to add to the list. From 27 to 29 March 2025, international modern tea brand CHAGEE celebrated the Grand Opening of its first stores in Bali — officially marking the brand's arrival on the island and the beginning of its long-term home here. 

It is a milestone that goes beyond a store opening. After debuting in Indonesia at PIK Avenue in April 2025 and growing to 36 stores across Greater Jakarta, Bali marks CHAGEE's first step into a new city. And for a brand built on the belief that tea brings people together, there are few better places to put down roots. 

"Bali is more than a destination. It is a place that brings people together, and that is the same spirit CHAGEE carries in every cup,” said Adinda Yozari, General Manager, CHAGEE Indonesia. “We wanted our first step beyond Greater Jakarta to mean something. Bali felt right, not just as a market, but as a community we genuinely want to be part of. This is what CHAGEE Together means to us." 

A store made for Bali 

The centerpiece of CHAGEE's Bali debut is the CHAGEE SANDBAR at Discovery Mall Kuta, the brand's first-ever beach concept store in Southeast Asia. Its name says it all: a sandbar is where currents meet, a natural gathering point. That is exactly what this space is designed to be. 

Inside, guests find a hand-carved stone mural made by local Balinese artisans, a merchandise display dressed with locally sourced shells and natural stone, and wall graphics that introduce CHAGEE's story to the many international visitors who pass through Discovery Mall each day. Nothing about the space was imported wholesale. It was shaped by the island, for the island. 

CHAGEE's second Bali location, at Trans Studio Mall, brings the same warm and welcoming Tea Bar experience to another of the city's key destinations. 

A special weekend to mark the occasion 

To celebrate CHAGEE’s official launch, guests were welcomed through ribbon-cutting ceremonies at both locations, and the CHAGEE By The Beach pop-up at Discovery Mall gave visitors an added taste of the brand through guided tastings, interactive activities, and complimentary drinks. A special celebrity meet-and-greet with [HYOYEON from SNSD] on 28 March drew guests from across the island, adding to what was already a joyful and high-energy few days. 

 Tea worth gathering for 

At its heart, CHAGEE is a Tea Bar: a third space where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy a cup of tea that is freshly made, free from artificial sweeteners, and crafted from real tea leaves. Every drink is made to order, and every store is designed to feel like somewhere worth staying a little longer. 

The Bali menu brings together CHAGEE's best-loved drinks, from the signature BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Peach Oolong Milk Tea to the Da Hong Pao Brewed Tea, a rich and warming classic. Brewed with whole tea leaves and using only fresh quality dairy, all products are halal-certified, so every guest in Bali can enjoy CHAGEE with confidence. 

Consumers can also look forward to an exclusive Bali merchandise collection, which will be launched in Q2 2026. Expect a range of Bali-exclusive lifestyle pieces — including mugs, tumblers, a foldable bag, a fridge magnet, and a hand fan — each dressed in a cheerful tropical print featuring hibiscus blooms, palm trees, and the Jalak Bali bird, the island's iconic white starling. Warm and distinctly Balinese in character, the collection is designed to be a keepsake of the island as much as a piece of the CHAGEE experience.  

 Rooted in Bali 

From the beginning, CHAGEE's intention in Bali has been to belong here, not simply to be here. The store team is made up of local hires, and the CHAGEE SANDBAR took shape through direct collaboration with Balinese craftspeople, from the hand-carved stone mural to the locally sourced decor that dresses the space. 

"We recognise that we are joining a community with deep traditions and strong values," added Adinda Yozari. "Our goal is to become part of the everyday moments that bring people together in Bali."
