Jakarta, 22 May 2023 – Erajaya Group and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Mitras DUDI Directorate held a Webinar named Vokasinesia, attended by more than 500 vocational education units from all over Indonesia on May 17, 2023. The presence of Erajaya Group as the first industrial partner in this webinar series is a realization of the company's commitment to the Indonesian education sector, particularly in developing competencies and empowering vocations in the industrial world.
Jimmy Perangin Angin, Chief of Human Capital, Legal, and CSR Erajaya, said, “Erajaya Group believes in the importance of developing the potential of human capital for business growth. Based on a survey conducted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in 2021, public interest in vocational education is quite high where 82.05% of respondents said they were interested in continuing their education at SMK. Meanwhile, at Erajaya, 77% of our employees are graduates of SMK or on par. This data shows that there is a match between the interests and absorption of the business world for vocational graduates. We hope that this webinar can become a bridge for Erajaya and the Mitras DUDI Directorate to provide information and equal opportunities for vocational education units (SPV) throughout Indonesia to participate in several programs such as enhancement of teacher and student competency, curriculum alignment, teacher and student apprenticeship programs, entrepreneurship programs, and the recruitment of vocational graduates in the Erajaya business unit."
"We express our appreciation to Erajaya Group for their commitment and contribution to developing vocational education in Indonesia. As our commitment to actualizing the links and matches between SPV and industry, we are working with Erajaya Group to organize this webinar. We hope that SPV can take advantage of these programs offered by Erajaya Group, Mitras DUDI Directorate is ready to bridge the follow-up partnership between SPV and Erajaya Group," said Uuf Brajawidagda, Acting Director of Mitras DUDI Kemendikbudristek.
The Vokasinesia webinar is the start for Erajaya Group to innovate partnership programs in 2023 and beyond. This program is a commitment and fulfillment of partnership cooperation agreements (PKS) with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Mitras DUDI Directorate which has been renewed since last August 2022. Through this webinar, Erajaya offers several new programs such as training and apprenticeship programs for teachers, vocational and entrepreneurship competition programs, soft skill improvement programs, and vocational competency support, as well as several future plans that will involve participation from SPV and will be facilitated and accessible through Erajaya Micro Learning (EMiL) application or the website https://emil.erajaya.com/. This is a form of Erajaya's contribution to increasing the coverage of wider partnership program beneficiaries on a national scale.
The Vocational Partnership Program is part of Lentera Erajaya Peduli pillars, namely Lentera Cerdas which has been a partnership program with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology since 2019. Until now, this partnership program has had nearly 200 PKL graduates, more than 300 certified teachers, and collaborated with more than 300 SMK in 19 Provinces in Indonesia.
