Bandung, August 5, 2025 – Reaffirming its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, Erajaya Group is expanding its flagship environmental conservation program, Wana Erajaya, to Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Ir. H. Djuanda in West Java. This milestone was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between Erajaya Group and the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda in a ceremony titled “Green Collaboration Footprints for a Sustainable Future.” The agreement marks the beginning of a three-year collaboration to support conservation and environmental preservation efforts in the area.

Since 2018, Erajaya has implemented the Wana Erajaya program in Rumpin, Bogor Regency, in collaboration with the Rumpin Center for Education and Environmental Development. The initiative has not only contributed to environmental preservation—generating an estimated 1.833 tons of oxygen and absorbing 16.385 tons of carbon dioxide per year—but has also delivered positive economic impact through local community empowerment, such as the development of sustainable agroforestry programs for honey and citronella grass.

Building on the success in Rumpin, Erajaya is now expanding this initiative to Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda. The collaboration follows a year of dialogue and program planning, and marks a strategic step in supporting Tahura’s role as a conservation area that protects biodiversity. For this initiative, a 10-hectare protected block within Tahura will be the focus of Erajaya Group’s conservation efforts through 2027.

Hasan Aula, Deputy CEO of Erajaya Group, stated, “Through Wana Erajaya, we aim to make a real contribution to environmental preservation while also improving the welfare of communities around conservation areas. Our partnership with Tahura Djuanda is a significant milestone, and we hope it will generate long-term positive impacts for the environment and future generations.”

Beyond conservation efforts, Erajaya Group also plans to develop a plant nursery in the area. This nursery will support various rehabilitation, conservation, and other environmental programs, ensuring wide-reaching and sustainable benefits.

As a leading player in Indonesia’s retail industry, Erajaya remains steadfast in its commitment to ESG principles, with environmental conservation as a key pillar of its sustainability strategy. This initiative also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the call for cross-sector collaboration in protecting ecosystems and biodiversity.

Erajaya Group extends its gratitude to all parties who have supported this program, including local government, UPTD Tahura Djuanda, and the surrounding communities actively involved in the conservation efforts. The company believes that this collaborative journey represents a small yet meaningful step toward a greener, more sustainable future for Indonesia.
