Bandung, October 4, 2026 – PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk, in collaboration with UPTD Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Ir. H. Djuanda, officially inaugurated the Tonjong Nursery Facility, a nursery with a capacity of up to 20,000 seedlings to support conservation area rehabilitation and carbon offsetting efforts under the Wana Erajaya program. The inauguration was marked by the signing of the Handover Certificate (Berita Acara Serah Terima/BAST) with UPTD Tahura, alongside the launch of the VoluntERA program.

The nursery facility is part of the Wana Erajaya roadmap toward its target of rehabilitating 10 hectares of conservation area by 2027, following the planting of trees across 4 hectares of conservation area in 2025.

Unlike tree-planting activities carried out directly within conservation areas, the Tonjong Nursery Facility supports an earlier stage of the process, namely the provision and maintenance of seedlings before they are used for reforestation. This enables seedling requirements to be prepared in a more structured manner as the program area continues to expand.

Jimmy Perangin Angin, Group Chief of HC, GA, Litigation & CSR of Erajaya Group, said, “Today is not merely about the inauguration of the Tonjong Nursery Facility, but also serves as a symbol of Erajaya’s commitment to continuously fostering environmental awareness, a spirit of collaboration, and a culture of sustainability. We understand that sustainability cannot be achieved through corporate policies and programs alone, but must be reflected in tangible actions, everyday decisions, and habits that we build together.”

According to Jimmy, environmental conservation requires a process, patience, and continuous care. Therefore, the inauguration of the Tonjong Nursery Facility also marks an initial step for VoluntERA, a program designed to facilitate greater employee participation in environmental and social activities while fostering a culture of sustainability across Erajaya.

“We appreciate Erajaya Group’s commitment and the realization of its collaboration in supporting conservation efforts within the Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda area. The establishment of the Tonjong Nursery Facility is a tangible manifestation of this collaboration, particularly in supporting the provision and maintenance of seedlings for area rehabilitation activities. We hope this partnership will continue and provide long-term benefits for the sustainability of the Tahura area, while encouraging more parties to take part in environmental conservation efforts,” said Lutfi Erizka, Head of UPTD Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda.

The inauguration was attended by Erajaya’s BOD and management, VoluntERA volunteers, and representatives of UPTD Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda. The event included the signing of the Handover Certificate (BAST), the signing of the nursery area plaque, the launch of the VoluntERA program, and a visit to various areas within the Tonjong Nursery Facility.

Through Wana Erajaya, the involvement of employees and stakeholders is expected to continue growing as part of a collective effort to support the sustainability of the Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda area. This initiative also represents Erajaya’s efforts to foster a culture of sustainability that can create benefits for the company, the individuals involved, and future generations.
