Jakarta, August 30, 2021 - Since 2019, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of Erajaya Group has been actively supporting the economic development of Forest Farmer Groups in Rumpin District, Bogor Regency. One of them is the development of oyster mushroom business by farmer groups starting from providing mushroom seeds to production. In collaboration with the Bogor Environmental & Forestry Education and Training Center (BDLHK), Erajaya Group facilitates this program starting from training, financial capital, production facilities, and marketing of oyster mushroom products.
In August 2021, the Kumbung Mushroom Mandiri Program was launched as one of the program developments. Kumbung or oyster mushroom production houses are no longer built-in the training forest area, but are built close to the settlements of farmer groups/communities so that it is easier for them to carry out activities independently. It will indirectly increase the productivity and contribution of farmer groups.
Recently, the oyster mushroom commodity sold by farmer groups at a price of Rp. 13.000 – Rp 1.,000 with a potential harvest of 2-3 Kg/day. This program will be continued in the future by looking at the potential for kumbung development in other locations that can be easily accessed by farmer groups.
