Jakarta, March 27, 2025 – PT Erajaya Swasembada, Tbk. (ticker code: ERAA) is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan 2025 by launching the Ramadhan Hijau Program. This initiative aims not only to benefit the community but also to reinforce the company's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. The program aligns with Erajaya's focus on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and 13 (Climate Action).
Ramadhan Hijau Program reflects Erajaya's commitment to environmental stewardship through various initiatives focused on waste reduction and sustainable resource use. Hasan Aula, Deputy Group CEO of Erajaya, stated, “As a publicly listed company committed to ESG principles, Erajaya is excited to launch the Green Ramadan Program. Through this initiative, we aim to demonstrate that sustainability and business growth can go hand in hand in every step we take.”
One of the key programs, the Sustainable Ramadan initiative, took place from March 5 to March 19, 2025. This initiative encourages employees to donate usable items, such as clothing and books, which will be repurposed for communities in need. Engaging over 100 employees, the program successfully collected more than 300 kg of recyclable goods, thereby reducing waste impact and supporting the principles of a circular economy.
From a social perspective, the Ramadhan Hijau Program aims to create a positive impact on underprivileged communities surrounding Erajaya's operational areas. Through the Berkah Ramadan initiative, held from March 16 to March 26, 2025, the company distributed essential food packages to 410 underprivileged families in need. This initiative not only helps meet their basic needs but also raises awareness about the importance of solidarity and social responsibility among employees and the broader community.
Additionally, as part of its efforts to promote awareness of healthy eating habits, Erajaya Group, through its subsidiary PT Sinar Eka Selaras Tbk (ticker code: ERAL), launched the #bURbagiRamadhan program in collaboration with Urban Republic. A total of 650 boxes of healthy meals were distributed free of charge at two strategic locations in major cities: in the Blok M area of Jakarta on March 8, 2025, and around the UR Dago area in Bandung on March 15, 2025. This program not only provides the community with access to nutritious food but also educates them on the importance of health and balanced nutrition during the holy month of Ramadan.
